About Me
Hi, my name is Oscar.
Growing up on the Pacific coast in Pavones, South of Costa Rica, I started learning to surf from a very young age. For me, consistency and proper technique have been always the two most important things to focus on for improvement. I completed the ISA Surf Coach certification and have been teaching surfing for more than 6 years.
Based in Playa Tamarindo, I offer surf lessons and coaching for all levels. My goal is to make my clients feel confident in the water, enjoy the sport, and have a good time while learning how to easily pop up on the board and catching the best waves.
Tamarindo Surf Lessons
I'm dedicated to providing top-quality surf instruction for all ages, from kids to older generations. With experience gained at one of the best surf camps, Witches Rock Surf Camp in Guanacaste; and previously in Pavones and Manuel Antonio. I tailor each surf experience to fit your goals—whether you're looking for a one-time surf session or a longer-term program. We can also incorporate video analysis, strength and balance training, and surf skate sessions to enhance your skills.
My boys absolutely loved Oscar! After just one session, my 4- and 8-year-old were surfing! Not only is Oscar a fantastic instructor, but he’s also personable and so much fun. Thank you, Oscar, for helping my kids surf and for creating everlasting memories for them!
